As a Mobile Gas Engineer you will provide technical diagnosis and solutions, performing routine maintenance checks in relation to gas and hot & cold water systems along with some electrical maintenance. You will perform fault finding, maintenance, repair and installation of these systems, regularly liaising with customers and carrying out basic plumbing tasks such as replacing taps, sinks, cistern flush units and heating elements.

* Liaise with customers and managers to keep everyone informed and aligned
* Carry out basic plumbing tasks – replacing taps, sinks, cistern flush units and heating elements
Qualifications
* Must hold both Domestic and Commercial gas qualification/certification (CCN1 or CODNCO1) and be a Gas Safe registered gas engineer
* Qualified and accredited by Gas Safe in commercial gas modules to include CIGA1, CORT1, CENWAT and TPCP1A
* Basic plumbing experience
* Experience maintaining gas equipment/pipe work and hot and cold water systems
* Fault-finding and diagnostic experience with strong problem‑solving skills
* Strong understanding of health & safety and Gas Safe regulations
* 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations
* Basic IT literacy and confidence using digital job management systems
* Experience completing job certificates in an electronic format
* Full UK manual driving licence (required for travel within the specified area)
* Demonstrable experience of liaising with customers
* Ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively
Terms and Compensation
Salary: £44,551.95 per annum plus standby allowance of £290 per week when on rota, and appropriate overtime rate when attending calls.
Annual leave: 22.5 days per year, rising to 25 days after 5 years of service, plus bank holidays.
Contract: Permanent, full‑time 37.5 hours per week (excluding meal breaks). Typical attendance from 08:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday with required flexibility.
Call‑out rota: Join an out‑of‑hours call‑out rota 1 in 4 weeks covering the postcode areas PE, CB and SG. Additional rota covering a wider area in PE and CB postcodes only.
