We are looking for a caring and reliable Classroom Assistant to support students aged 16–18 within a specialist further education setting. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, working 8.45am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.
You will be working in a highly respected specialist college set in spacious, peaceful surroundings. The setting is known for:

Learners have a range of Special Educational Needs, including: Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Communication and sensory processing difficulties and Associated learning and developmental needs
Key Responsibilities
* Support students in class and during practical activities
* Assist with learning tasks, routines and emotional regulation
* Encourage independence, confidence and engagement
* Work closely with teachers and support staff
Requirements
* Minimum 6 months childcare experience, especially supporting young people with SEN needs
* Experience in SEN or specialist settings is highly desirable
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the rural location
* A patient, dependable and proactive approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
