At Green Fox Cleaning, we have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and motivated cleaning individual to join us as a
cleaning area manager
to oversee operations across multiple large schools and office premises.
The majority of the sites are located in the Worthing area, with some sites also located in the Brighton & Hove area and Burgess Hill. You will be travelling between your assigned sites each day, ensuring the highest standards are delivered - day after day.
Please note it is essential you can travel from site as required to meet the needs of the business (Full UK Driving License required, with option of company car for work purposes only, or mileage paid.
Your sites of responsibility will have typically employees working at each site as a team.
Working times for the role:
Core working times will vary on occasions to meet operational needs, but will typically be 16:00 – 22:00hrs Monday to Friday, with some flexibility required to meet the ever-changing needs of the business.
You will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality service delivery to all client sites – this is what makes Green Fox stand out and continue to experience such rapid growth.
This role involves strategic planning, team management, and continuous improvement to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Working closely with the site supervisors and teams to optimise efficiency and productivity.
* Training, inducting and managing cleaning team members.
* Motivate and lead the cleaning team to achieve performance targets and goals.
* Provide support to develop site cleaning supervisors to develop them to manage their teams.
* Complete site audits via our software, provide constructive feedback to cleaning team members working at the site, and implement training programs for continuous improvement.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare reports for senior management on area performance.
* Managing poor performance issues in line with company policy.
* Attend regular meetings with clients to understand their specific cleaning requirements and expectations, ensuring their expectations are fully met.
* Provide regular updates on cleaning operations, address client concerns, and ensure client satisfaction.
* Develop and manage budgets for cleaning supplies, equipment, and staffing.
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria
:
* Able to prioritise effectively and demonstrate excellent time management skills.
* Proven experience in a managerial role, preferably within a service environment - school cleaning / management experience is a bonus.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with diverse teams and customers.
* A strong, efficient and effective computer user across multiple systems, including Microsoft outlook, excel, word and our bespoke scheduling and attendance system.
* Ability to demonstrate strong personal integrity and maintain confidentiality.
* Strong leadership style with a focus on supporting and developing employees and colleagues.
* Taking responsibility for the area and proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
* Flexibility and willingness to adapt to meet customer or business needs.
Additionally, you will be on-call on a rota basis for weekend cover
(typically one weekend in four) where you will hold an on-call phone and resolve any out of hours issues that may arise with the support of an on call mobile cleaner – this phone holding on call allowance has been factored into the salary, with additional payment made in the event you are required to attend a site when on call.
