Senior / Principal Consultant – Industrial Emissions – Oxford or Bristol – £50,000 to £60,000 + Benefits A UK-based Environmental Consultancy is seeking a
Senior or Principal Air Quality Consultant
with strong experience in
industrial emissions and regulatory compliance
to join its growing team in
Oxford or Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically complex emissions reporting and policy-driven projects at national and European levels. Essential Criteria: 5+ years’ experience in air quality, emissions, or regulatory consultancy.
Strong understanding of industrial emissions frameworks, including E-PRTR, IED, and GHG reporting requirements.
Proven experience handling large environmental datasets and emissions inventories.
Excellent client engagement, project delivery, and report writing skills.
A degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Atmospheric Chemistry, or a related field.
Desirable Experience: Background in emissions quantification (activity data, emission factors, calculation methods).
Experience managing teams or leading high-value projects.
Skilled in stakeholder engagement, presenting technical findings, and supporting workshops.
Familiarity with international environmental reporting systems and regulatory compliance tools.
The Role: You will lead technical delivery of industrial emissions projects, supporting public and private sector clients on compliance, data analysis, and reporting requirements. This is a
desk-based consultancy role
with hybrid flexibility, and the opportunity to contribute to policy, guidance, and reporting infrastructure development across the UK and internationally. Key Responsibilities: Managing and delivering complex industrial emissions projects.
Coordinating teams, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to business development.
Analysing emissions data and developing reporting outputs and policy insights.
Engaging with clients, regulators, and collaborators across the UK and internationally.
Contributing to thought leadership, guidance development, and internal process improvements.
This is a
full-time role based in Oxford or Bristol, with hybrid working (minimum 2-3 days in-office). The role offers a
