The Indian accounting organization supports accounting, financial reporting, internal control, intercompany, transfer pricing activities, and support for new business launches.
We are currently looking for candidates at the finance manager level. Successful candidates will have the equivalent of 10+ years of professional experience in financial accounting, reporting, and internal control responsibilities. The role involves supporting all aspects of our financial reporting process and understanding internal control design concepts to assess control effectiveness. Technical accounting research and position paper writing are also required.
This position requires a strong sense of ownership, the ability to identify process improvements, drive positive change, and foster partnerships between accounting, finance, operations, and IT groups.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Accounting and analysis of specific business verticals or functions.
2. Preparation of monthly accruals during month-end close.
3. Driving process efficiencies and guiding business teams on accounting matters.
4. Evaluating accounting positions for new projects and drafting technical position papers.
5. Partnering with global accounting teams to develop process improvements and ensure global accounting standards consistency.
6. Coordinating with auditors for timely statutory and tax audits.
Key Requirements:
* 8+ years of relevant experience in big 4 audit firms, multinational corporations, or operational accounting.
* CA, CPA, or ICWAI qualification is mandatory.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with teams in India and the US.
* Understanding of US GAAP and Indian Accounting Standards, with regular communication with auditors and regulators to ensure compliance.
* A self-starter, collaborative team player, and effective communicator.
* Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, risk assessment capabilities, and some IT aptitude.
* Experience managing relationships with Big 4 auditors is an advantage.
Additional Responsibilities:

Basic Qualifications:
* 5+ years in tax, finance, or related analytical fields.
* 5+ years in various finance and accounting roles.
* 6+ years in Accounts Receivable or Payable.
* 6+ years applying KPIs to analyses.
* 6+ years building financial and operational reports/data sets.
* 6+ years creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
* 8+ years in data quality issues, root cause analysis, and escalation planning.
* 8+ years solving complex business challenges with financial models and analysis.
* MBA or CPA qualification.
* Knowledge of SQL/ETL, large-scale data tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos), and financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
