Sandwell Children’s Trust are currently recruiting for a part‑time Service Support Officer to join the busy Fostering Service Administration Team. The role involves supporting Special Guardianship, Child Arrangement and Adoption financial assessments. The successful candidate will be proficient in email handling, maintaining Excel spreadsheets, liaising with carers, social workers and managers, be flexible, thrive under tight deadlines, and work as part of a team.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring accuracy and consistency of information.
* Updating Children’s Social Care systems.
* Prioritising incoming post and messages, alerting officers and practitioners to matters which require attention.
* Maintaining files and record systems, including scanning and uploading documents.
* Ensuring tasks allocated are completed accurately and within allocated timescale.
* Raising and receipting purchase orders and procurement purchases.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent.
* Experience of working in a business administration role.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages.
* Experience of finance and procurement is an advantage.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, good attention to detail.
* Ability to plan and organise diaries.
