Job Description – 1:1 Teaching Assistant Location: Salisbury Hourly Rate: £13–£14 per hour Contract Type: Long-term / Full-time Vetting: Through Teaching Personnel About the Role We are seeking motivated, caring, and resilient 1:1 Teaching Assistants to provide high-quality support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across two inclusive and welcoming primary schools in the heart of Salisbury. Pupils requiring support may present with a range of needs, including communication difficulties, ASC traits, learning delays, or social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Both schools are looking for educators who not only bring strong SEN experience, but who are also keen to become an integral part of their wider school community—someone invested in whole-school values, collaborative practice, and positive relationships with staff, pupils, and families. Key Responsibilities 1:1 Pupil Support Provide tailored, consistent support to an individual pupil with SEN, adapting strategies as required. Implement support plans and guidance provided by the SENCO, class teachers, and external professionals. Promote the pupil’s independence, confidence, and engagement in learning.
