Walsall Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Manager to lead our West Locality Team. This is a crucial leadership role, overseeing a team responsible for providing high-quality support to adults within a specific geographical area.
About the Role:
Provide strong leadership and supervision to a team of social workers, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to best practice.
Oversee the efficient and effective operation of the locality team, ensuring appropriate resource allocation and timely interventions.
Implement and monitor performance standards, promoting continuous improvement and positive outcomes for service users.
Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring the team operates within allocated parameters.
Represent the team in meetings with internal and external stakeholders, advocating for the needs of service users.
Contribute to the development of team policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.
Provide regular supervision and support to team members, promoting their professional development and well-being.
Requirements:
Registered with Social Care England.
Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience as a qualified Social Worker. Significant experience in a supervisory or management role within adult social care is essential.
Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of leading and motivating a team.
Strong understanding of adult social care legislation, policies, and procedures.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
Commitment to ensuring high-quality services and positive outcomes for service users.
