Overview
Lostock High School is seeking an outstanding L3 Teaching Assistant (Resourced Provision) to join the SEND team. Location: Lostock High School, Selby Road, Stretford, Manchester M32 9PL. This is a full-time permanent role, term time plus 1 week (39 weeks per year).
Band 4 Scale 12-17. Actual salary £24,597 - £26,682. Hours: 36.25 per week (typically 08:00 – 16:00).
Start date: As soon as possible.
Responsibilities
* Plan (resources largely provided) and deliver lessons to small groups of SEND students primarily within the HUB provision.
* Differentiate resources according to need; follow the school marking and feedback policy.
* Support progress, maintain good order, and help pupils undertake set activities.
* Occasionally supervise HUB classes for the HUB SENDCO during annual review meetings.
* Work closely with mainstream Heads of Departments or the HUB Lead Teacher to support pupil learning.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Ideal candidate will have L3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or equivalent). The post offers the opportunity to gain the required qualification in post via the Apprenticeship Levy scheme.
* Experience of teaching students with additional needs is desirable; up-to-date SEND knowledge is required.
* Experience with neurodivergent pupils is welcomed.
