A day in the life.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Financial Analyst with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience noted below to join our Northeast Regional Finance team. This job is in-person 3 days a week in either our Boston, MA, Worcester, MA, or Saddle Brook, NJ offices and 2 days remote.
 1. Apply financial knowledge with a firm understanding of finance and accounting concepts, superb analytical abilities, and strong attention to detail
 2. Assist with the financial planning process at the business unit/department level, inclusive of kickoff meetings, deadlines, assumptions, data format/loads, as it applies to budgets, re-forecasts, capital planning and long-term plans
 3. Participate in the development of the business unit’s plans and programs; provide strategic financial input on decision making. Monitor and report on market changes including macroeconomics and peers/competitors
 4. Develop relevant reporting which includes financial and operating information including data preparation, report creation and quality control; strive to deliver insight, consistent data and effective visualizations; reports may also include variance analysis of actual spending to forecast, plan and historical level, with explanations of trends and root causes
 5. Consolidate the business unit forecast/plans into the overall corporate reporting to build a composite view of the company including profit and loss, cash flow and balance sheet impacts
 6. Conduct analysis of business units, portfolio segments, geographic territories, business lines and acquisitions
 7. Create and maintain contingency revenue analytics based on carrier incentive programs
 8. Collaborate with controllership and streamline workflows
 9. Ensure timely and accurate business/financial reports and plans; share with all business units to increase financial transparency in management reporting and business line performance
 10. Responsible for inventory of reports that deliver the right information to the right person at the right time; this may include maintenance of existing, development of new and retirement of outdated reports and key metrics
 11. Participate in cross-departmental initiatives
 12. Gather, manage and manipulate data from multiple sources for analysis; identify trends, extract insights and deliver actionable presentations of findings
 13. Review/update investment decisions to assess progress/success and milestones
 14. Develop and perform other ad hoc analyses

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
 15. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or finance desired
 16. Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint
 17. Experience with Oracle GL, EPIC, Essbase, SmartView, Power BI, QlikSense are a plus
 18. Data management experience
 19. Experience with financial modelling, especially reading into assumptions and calculations developed by others, finding logical flaws and strength of design
 20. Project management skills
 21. Experience with accounting principles, financial reporting, forecasting budgeting and analysis across the income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows
 22. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with all levels of internal staff, sales team, and management, external clients, prospects and vendors
