Training Manager
Location: Salford
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, temp - perm
The client is seeking an experienced and motivated Training Manager to join their growing team based in Salford. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and delivering effective training strategies that support operational excellence and continuous improvement across the business.
The Role
As Training Manager, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and delivering high-quality training programmes. You will support onboarding, mentor teams, manage training demand, and ensure training aligns with regional and global standards. The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders and a proactive approach to improving training delivery and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support onboarding for new team members, including induction, training, and mentoring
2. Develop and implement a comprehensive training strategy and framework, including governance and standard operating procedures
3. Create and maintain training materials, manuals, assessments, and documentation in line with global formats
4. Programme manage training demand in line with business priorities and pipeline
5. Work closely with stakeholders to develop deployment and mobilisation training plans
6. Deliver computer-based and system-focused training programmes
7. Maintain training environments, systems, and accurate training records
8. Mentor teams to support process development and implementation
9. Ensure training delivery meets agreed global standards and approaches
10. Gather, review, and act on training feedback to drive continuous improvement
11. Provide post go-live support, reviewing end-user confidence and addressing any training gaps
12. Identify innovative ways to improve training delivery and share best practice
Key Accountabilities
13. Delivery of an effective, auditable training strategy that meets business expectations
14. Minimising the need for retraining through high-quality, effective training delivery
About You
You will be an experienced training professional with strong organisational and interpersonal skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and working both independently and collaboratively.
Essential Requirements:
15. Qualification in Training or Training Management (or equivalent experience)
16. Proven mentoring and coaching experience
17. Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver to milestones
18. Experience developing and implementing training strategies
19. Knowledge of CMMS and associated integrated systems
20. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
21. Approachable, engaging, and able to build strong working relationships
22. Resilient, resourceful, and able to work under pressure
23. Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
24. Excellent attention to detail and quality-driven approach
25. Willingness to travel as required
Desirable:
26. Understanding of facilities management operations
27. Understanding of asset management
