Overview
This post has been devised to support the surgical team who currently provide specialist services to patients in southwest London and supra specialist services to patients from the south and south east of England. The successful applicant will have an interest in diagnostic services for prostate cancer, the management of early-stage disease as well as general urologic/robotic surgery. An interest in focal therapy would be beneficial as we intend to contribute to a local network service starting with Nanoknife. All the urologists provide support to the specialities in the hospital on urological aspects of care, including urinary diversion, stent management and general urology. The appointee will be supported and mentored by colleagues in setting up and evolving in their new role.

Responsibilities
* Provide specialist urology services with an interest in diagnostic services for prostate cancer, management of early-stage disease, and general urologic/robotic surgery. An interest in focal therapy is beneficial.
* Contribute to a local network service starting with Nanoknife.
* Support the hospital’s urology and related services, including urinary diversion, stent management and general urology, and mentor colleagues in setting up and evolving in the role.
* Deliver high-quality patient care within the specialty and provide cross-specialty support by assisting with and contributing to other specialties’ theatre lists as service demands require.
* Demonstrate flexibility and a strong team ethic, with a willingness to participate in weekend working and extended hours as clinically needed to ensure safe, efficient, and timely delivery of surgical services.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Highly skilled and adaptable surgeon with a commitment to collaborative, multidisciplinary working.
* Ability and willingness to work flexibly across areas and specialities, supporting flexible working requests as appropriate.
* Experience in robotic/advanced urologic surgery is desirable; an interest in focal therapy is advantageous.
