Job Title: Team Leader – Orchard Manor Residential Home
Essential Criteria: Level 3 Diploma in Adult Social Care
Location: Meldreth, Nr. Royston - Cambridgeshire / Hertfordshire
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full time – 40hrs p/week – Shifts
Salary: £15.25 - £16.64 per hour (£25,376.00 - £27,688.96 per annum), linked to competency and qualifications
Aurora Orchard Manor
We are currently looking for a Team Leader in Meldreth (Nr. Royston), where our Aurora Orchard Manor Residential home provides care and therapeutic support for young people age 18-30 years with severe and profound communication difficulties associated with conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, and degenerative disorders.
1. To have a passion to make a difference, to enable young people to succeed and feel valued.
2. To actively promote and maintain a stable, happy homely and caring environment that puts the health, safety and welfare of our young people first.
3. Provide support to the Care Managers through the management, motivation and coaching of a team of support workers and Senior Support workers.
4. Be responsible for a team that provide appropriate physical and emotional support to the young people through the work of the care team within a residential environment and with off-site activities. This will include: GP other health related appointments, visits to families and trips out.
5. Help with the induction of new team members and their continued mentoring and development towards QCF and other mandatory training.
6. Carry out supervisions along with dealing with Performance Management issues within your team.
7. Take an active role in ensuring that activities are completed, and effectively delegated and day-to-day implementation of young people’s individual program plans are carried out efficiently with adequate cover available at all times.
8. Ensure that all documentation is kept up to date.
9. Undertake on a regular basis sleeping-in duties for which an allowance is paid and waking night duties and undertake duty manager/on call responsibilities
10. Please note that the role requires participation in personal care.
11. Please note that the role may require participation in physical intervention.
Duties will vary, you must expect to diversify and lend a hand wherever is required.

12. QCF Level 3 in Adult Social Care
