You’ll work across disciplines to define architectures, drive system-level alignment, and enable successful integration and delivery. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation and a systems mindset who enjoys solving complex problems, clarifying interfaces, and collaborating across teams to get the right technical outcomes. You'll be embedded in active programmes and contribute directly to the delivery of high-impact, high-integrity engineering systems. Responsibilities Will Include Elicit, develop and manage requirements and system architectures that form the backbone of cutting-edge maritime platform across integrated mechanical, electrical, software and control systems. Work closely with stakeholders and end-users to capture, analyse, and refine requirements and interface definitions that drive real-world performance. Ensure traceability from user needs through to design and verification. Own and maintain system-level documentation, interface specifications, and integration readiness plans. Collaborate with engineering teams and product stakeholders to clarify dependencies and manage technical risks. Develop and implement strategies that ensure system resilience, safety, and mission readiness. Support verification and validation activities, including test planning and defect triage. Contribute to programme delivery by driving alignment across subsystems and reducing integration ambiguity. Required Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field 2-5 years’ experience in Systems Engineering, ideally in complex, multi-disciplinary environments. Proven experience delivering systems in highly regulated and/or extreme operating environments (e.g. defence, aerospace, subsea, heavy industry). Strong understanding of requirements development, systems architecture, and integration planning. Skilled at navigating technical complexity and working across functions to resolve blockers. Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills. Able to work effectively across engineering, product, and programme teams. Desirable Understanding of design for maritime class approval (e.g. Lloyd’s, DNV). Experience with Jira and Confluence. Experience with MBSE tools or frameworks (e.g. SysML, Cameo, Capella) Familiarity with TRL-based development or staged integration.
