Position Overview:
As an Engineer at our client's firm, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining the software that powers their high-frequency trading operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building mission-critical software systems, and preferably come from a financial or trading background.
Responsibilities:
* Designing, development, and maintenance of high-performance, low-latency trading systems.
* Collaborate closely with traders and quantitative analysts to understand their requirements and translate them into robust software solutions.
* Architect, develop, and optimize Java-based trading applications.
* Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical systems.
* Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in high-frequency trading.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
* 3+ years experience as a hands-on Java Engineer, with a strong background in building mission-critical software.
* Understanding of financial markets and trading.
* Proficiency in low-latency, high-performance Java programming.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
