We are looking for a Butchery Assistant to work in our Butchery team at our Halifax depot.

The working hours are 6.30am to 3.pm, Monday to Friday and 5 hours on alternate Saturdays.
Duties includes:
* To assist with the butchering of meat into required cuts and joints according to customer orders.
* To pack meats appropriately
* Weigh and record the weights as of products as required.
* To follow hygiene rules in handling of fresh meats
* Be responsible for receiving deliveries and to check delivery against orders
* Be responsible for the correct storage and that the correct temperature is maintained.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Previous experience in a similar role preferred
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
* Strong knife skills and ability to handle sharp objects safely
* An interest and/or understanding of different cuts of meat and their uses
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
