In this newly created role, you’ll lead the development of the “One Gist Way” by driving warehouse standardisation, creating consistent operating procedures, and enhancing compliance systems across the network. You’ll play a key role in delivering operational excellence through process optimisation, industrial engineering expertise, and scalable improvements that shape the future of our warehouse operations. Develop, write, and maintain all Warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure clarity and consistency across operations. Manage the SOP governance process, including version control, approvals, audits, and document lifecycle. Design and implementation of centralised SOP and training record software. Maintain and enhance the Integrated Management System (IMS) in alignment with applicable standards. Define processes for the adoption of management through Manual Handling Equipment (MHE) telematics. Plan, coordinate, and support internal and external audits related to SOPs, MHE, and IMS. Facilitate continuous improvement workshops and root cause analysis sessions. Define and improve the efficiency of processes through time and motion studies. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Ideally, you’ll have: Strong knowledge of Standard Operating Procedure development, document control, and workflow mapping. Strong background in industrial engineering and time study (certification required). Working familiarity with Material Handling Equipment programs, safety standards, and compliance expectations. Experience managing or maintaining an Integrated Management System aligned with ISO or similar standards. Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives. Proven experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or quality/operations management - Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies (certification preferred).
