About the Rol
We’re looking for someone to join us as a Category Manager, and help us manage some of our indirect spend (e.g. IT, Marketing, Facilities Management, PPE, HR, Professional Services, Travel, Technology).
Responsibilities
* Manage our indirect spend and ensure we obtain products and services at the best value, delivering cost savings across a broad range of categories in a fast-paced environment.
* Work closely with key business stakeholders to understand objectives and priorities, and include them in the sourcing plan. Deliver an efficient and effective sourcing approach, providing market insight and analysis, and running competitive tender processes.
* Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers, monitor trends and developments that may impact price or supply chain availability.
* Develop strong internal relationships with finance to realise savings and effectively manage budgets and reporting.
* Operate with a high degree of autonomy within the Procurement team, delivering good results with coaching and support from colleagues.
Qualifications
* Experience in FMCG is beneficial, preferably in the drinks industry.
* Proven experience in indirect category management for IT or Marketing.
* Demonstrated achievements in contract negotiation, cost savings, risk mitigation, supplier consolidation and strategic vendor partnerships.
* Ability to build relationships internally and externally at all levels of the business.
* Strong business and numerical acumen with a passion to deliver results and willingness to go the extra mile.
* Willing to travel occasionally – usually between C&C Group sites in the UK and Ireland, or to supplier sites.
