Beattie School provides education for pupils with profound, severe, and complex learning difficulties aged between 3 and 18 years. The school recently moved to a purpose-built facility designed to support the needs of its students.
We are seeking two enthusiastic advanced pupil support workers to join our team supporting young people with complex needs.
The curriculum at Beattie is child-centered, addressing individual needs, personalities, and age. We offer a broad, balanced curriculum within the National Framework for Curriculum for Excellence, utilizing multi-sensory and interactive methods to ensure meaningful learning experiences tailored to each pupil.
Our staff are highly skilled, and ongoing training is provided to ensure children are nurtured, cared for, and provided with outstanding learning experiences. We value creativity, care, and the celebration of individual successes and achievements.
The complex medical, physical, and sensory needs of our pupils require close collaboration with Allied Health Professionals to provide appropriate medical and educational support.
There is a positive and productive ethos across the school, with staff, parents, and partners working together to create a supportive community for our children.
Postholders are required to work towards an appropriate qualification – SVQ level 2 or equivalent within five years.
This position involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check before a formal offer of employment is made.
