Deputy Shop Managers motivate teams, create a safe and energised work environment, maintain high standards, drive business results, and support the Shop Manager in running the shop.
Key Responsibilities
* Commercially aware and constantly look for new business opportunities.
* Motivate teams and create a safe, energised work environment.
* Maintain high standards and achieve business results.
* Support the Shop Manager in operating the shop.
* Delegate tasks to volunteers as needed.
* Communicate creatively and attract new supporters.
* Provide excellent customer service and engage with the local community.
Key Skills and Competencies
* Ability to support development and maintenance of an inclusive and diverse team to meet daily shop activities.
* Commercial awareness and effective retail process support.
* Strong merchandising.
* Collaborative working with the Shop Manager and others; build positive relationships.
* Resilience to everyday pressures and need for appropriate support.
* Numerate and financially literate; interpret basic financial reports, monitor budgets, maintain administrative systems.
Employment Details
* Fixed‑term 12 months role.
* Requires weekend (including Sundays) working.
