Total Recruitment Solutions Ltd are currently seeking a Machine Operative to join our busy client who is based on Pimbo Road in Skelmersdale, West Lancs, UK.
Note: To apply you must be able to commute on a daily basis. Applicants outside the UK and not currently in the UK will be rejected.
Contract: 13 weeks temporary to permanent (the goal here is to train the successful applicants and move to a contract asap)
Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00-17:15 and Fridays 06:00-11:00 (can alter to 08:00-13:00)
Pay: £ starting point
CNC machinery operations experience would be a benefit here but is not essential. Although past experience working around manufacturing machinery and being PC literate is a requirement here.
The successful applicant will be expected to support other areas of the department, including warehouse and some assembly work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operating CNC machinery accurately and efficiently (training package ready)
* Supporting general production activities within the foam department
* Maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail, including SOPs and Health and Safety guidelines.
Requirements:
* Experience operating CNC machinery (preferred), not essential, as on-the-job training would be given
* Willingness to "muck in" and help with a variety of tasks
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Computer literate
* Fluent in English (essential)
* Reliable, switched-on, and able to work as part of a team
