About the role: As a SEN Learning Support, you will provide essential assistance within the classroom and in targeted interventions. Your role will be key in helping students overcome challenges, build confidence, and develop skills for life. This position is ideal for those who enjoy working in a collaborative environment and have a genuine interest in inclusive education. SEN Learning Support Responsibilities: Offer one-to-one or small group support to students with a range of special educational needs. Follow and help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet pupils’ specific learning goals. Promote student independence and emotional well-being within an inclusive setting. Monitor student progress and contribute to reports and assessments. Provide personal care and mobility assistance where required. Work effectively alongside teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals. Requirements for SEN Learning Support: Previous experience in an SEN support role or working with children with additional needs. Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance. A degree in Psychology, Education, Counselling, or a related field is desirable. Understanding of SEN areas including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, proactive approach.
