Job Title: Visiting Lecturers in Nutrition and Dietetics
Salary: £55 per hour
The University of Roehampton is seeking to appoint Visiting Lecturers to join our Life Sciences team to teach on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Human Nutrition, Food Science, Clinical Nutrition, and Professional Skills for Dietitians. Registered nutritionists or dietitians (RD) are preferred. The appointment will involve leading and delivering modules, as well as contributing to student project supervision and pastoral care.
Our teaching approach emphasizes blended learning, combining traditional lectures, seminars, practical sessions, and student-led discussions. We support good student outcomes through engagement with employability and skill-led experiential learning, along with extending learning beyond scheduled contact time. Most teaching resources are already established.
Successful applicants will have experience with blended teaching methods, supporting students, and marking assessments at the undergraduate level. Industry experience and familiarity with online learning environments are desirable. We seek individuals who are student-focused, demonstrate excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, and can work flexibly.
The position is expected to start in September 2025, and interviews will be held as applications are received. Early application is encouraged.
The pay rate for Visiting Lecturers is £55 per hour, covering contact time, preparation, marking, and annual leave. Additional marking, moderation, and content development are paid at £25.96 per hour, with prior agreement from a Dean or Deputy Dean.
