We are recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader (nightshift) to work at our Wolverton site (MK12 5PT).
The role offers a salary of £36,053.05 per annum plus £1,872 nightshift allowance per annum, with a Sunday – Thursday shift pattern 22:00 - 6:00hrs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth running of their shift, leading a team of colleagues, ensuring staff are briefed and managed in accordance with Yusen Procedures within a busy warehouse environment.

Key tasks
* Responsible for the running of the shift – ensuring staff follow SSoWs and SWIs.
* As directed, safely handle products through all inbound and outbound processes, ensuring all company procedures are adhered to
* Ensure all goods are handled in the correct manner to ensure that damage to kept to a minimum and manual handling techniques are followed to prevent injury and harm
* Carry out any other reasonable requests to support the effective running of the warehouse, including manually supporting the team with tasks as and when required
* Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, taking appropriate action where procedures are not being adhered to or could be improved
* Ensure all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedure, taking appropriate action to ensure a safe working environment for all employees
* Ensure that all MHE is used in an appropriate manner, identifying and arranging relevant training to ensure there are sufficient numbers of trained employees to meet business demands
* Ensure all company procedures are adhered to, including ER procedures, such as absence and performance management, standards of behaviour, disciplinary, PDR etc, supporting with investigations and disciplinary
Hearings as necessary
* Review the training and development needs of functional employees to ensure that employees are trained to the required standards
* Looking at continuous improvement with knowledge of Kaizen and/or 5S highly advantageous
Key requirements
* Previous experience of leading a team in a fast-moving operation
* Previous warehouse experience in front line management
* Previous experience of HR processes such as return to work & disciplinary & grievance processes
* Awareness of manual handling techniques is essential
* Able to lift weights of up to 25k
* Previous experience MS Excel & knowledge / operational experience of WMS SCALE
* Experience of using RF scanners
* Counterbalance, Reach or T2 experience/licence is advantageous
* Must be flexible and proactive with the ability to work in a team
* 1st aider & fire marshal trained is desirable
