We are recruiting for a Floating Ward Clerk who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Ward Clerk Pool as a 9 month secondment Band 3 Floating Ward Clerk as part of the Ward Clerk Pool Structure within the Inpatient ward areas.
This is an exciting time for the Ward Clerks where we have implemented a new structure for supporting training, development, and job satisfaction.

You will need strong administrative and organisational skills as well as the ability to work within a team and float to cover wards where required & using your initiative.
This role will require Bank Holidays and some evenings and weekends to be worked.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for data entry of confidential information onto the computerised database, ensuring a high level of accuracy at all times.
As well as being responsible for the provision of a high-quality reception service by meeting and greeting visitors to the ward and supporting the general running of the ward by being involved in general organisational and administrative activities.
The post holder will backfill any sickness and annual leave and other absences.
Process the Ex Ward referrals across your teams whilst also supporting other teams within the ward clerk pool.
Deputise for the supervisor where required in their absence.
