Job Description
We are seeking a Sales Manager to lead and grow sales within the defence sector. This is a consultative, solution-based role with long sales cycles requiring technical understanding, strategic planning, and strong relationship management. The Sales Manager will mentor a small, dedicated team, drive improvements in sales processes, and work closely across departments to deliver customer-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the defence sector sales strategy, identifying new business opportunities globally.

Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and strategic partners.

Guide the team in consultative sales, translating technical challenges into tailored solutions.

Forecast sales accurately, monitor targets, and report to senior leadership.

Collaborate with engineering, product development, marketing, and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.

Mentor and develop the sales team to achieve performance goals.

Enhance sales processes, tools, and reporting methods.

Represent the company at industry events and customer meetings as a knowledgeable technical advisor.
Skills & Experience

5–10+ years in technical B2B sales, preferably in defence, aerospace, or high-spec industrial sectors.

Proven experience managing long, multi-stage sales cycles and complex procurement processes.

Strong leadership and team development experience.
*
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
*
Ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
*
Familiarity with MOD/DoD procurement processes is highly desirable.
*
Competent in CRM systems, sales forecasting, and data-driven planning.
*
Willingness to travel internationally as required.
