Job Title: Occupational Health Physician
Contract: Permanent, full‑time or part‑time hours available (3 days per week minimum)
Location: Hybrid to Medigold's Southampton clinic, with travel to client sites as required
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Role Overview
You will provide medical advice to a wide range of private and public sector organisations nationwide, from pre‑placement through sickness absence to ill health retirement. You will deliver telephone, video, and/or face‑to‑face consultations to conduct occupational health assessments, manage cases such as fitness for work, workplace adjustments, return‑to‑work, and health surveillance, and produce clear, concise, and professional reports with evidence‑based recommendations. You will liaise with clients and other healthcare professionals to support employee health and wellbeing and ensure the provision of occupational health services to Medigold clients and their employees is of the highest standard at all times.
What you’ll need
* Qualified Occupational Health Physician with DipOccMed/AFOM/MFOM/FFOM on the GMC register and a current licence to practise.
* Demonstrable experience in occupational health, preferably including absence case management, fitness for work assessments, and health surveillance.
* Good understanding of relevant workplace health and safety legislation, employment law and guidelines.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
