Overview
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across clinical and non-clinical roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million, and 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this position is Mon-Fri, 08:00-16:00. The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Operational Estates team is looking to recruit two Band 2 Maintenance Assistants to perform reactive and planned preventative maintenance across the hospital campus and to support our tradesmen and technicians. These posts are dayshift posts, Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00.
Responsibilities
* Carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance across the hospital campus.
* Provide support to tradesmen and technicians as required.
Qualifications and requirements
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a healthcare environment.
* Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of a wide range of tasks that would be required within a healthcare environment.
Career progression
Band 2 Maintenance Assistants have the opportunity to move to a Band 3 post on successful completion of specific training courses and qualifications.
