What You Will Do
As a HR and Compliance Manager, you will be part of the HR and Compliance Team, providing HR support across the Black Diamond Group of companies.

Main Responsibilities
* Work in accordance with all company polices/procedures, ISO 9001 (quality), ISO environment), ISO health and safety), Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS), The Railway Industry Supplier Questionnaire Scheme (RISQS).
* Supervision of the HR Advisor and HR Assistant.
* Ensure organisational compliance with employment legislation, internal policies and regulatory requirements
* Maintain and regularly review HR policies and procedures to reflect legislative updates and best practice
* Oversee right-to-work checks, contract management, and cord keeping to ensure audit readiness
* Provide expert advice to managers on employee relations matters, mitigating legal and reputational risk
* Oversee health and safety compliance in line with statutory requirements
* Ensure completion of relevant Health & safety documentation
* Coordinate and lead quarterly health and safety meetings
* Recruitment – placing adverts, emailing applicants to managers, emailing application packs to applicants, etc.
* Recruiting for the HR Department
* Setting up files for applicants and completing their pre-screening to BS7858
* Conducting and monitoring employee right to work
* Conducting and monitoring employee driving licence checks
* Creating, issuing and monitoring company id cards
* Drafting and issuing offer letters to new starters
* Preparation and issue of contacts of employment and employee handbook
* update the employee handbook and issue updates when required
* Preparing induction training documentation
* Conducting company inductions
* Process new starters in accordance with BS7858
* Add new starters to company databases
* Overseeing screening of employees to BS7858
* Maintain and update electronic personnel files
* Monitoring DSE Assessments
* Process leavers
* Archive employee files in accordance with industry standards and GDPR
* Monitor and update the training matrix
* Book training courses, medicals and D&A's
* Monitor the SIA watchlist and SIA licence expiries
* Issue and monitor Licence Dispensation Notices (LDN)
* Point of contact for employees for HR related enquiries, advice and issues
* Send out HR letters as required
* Attend site at short notice when requires to address HR related issues
* Involvement in disciplinary, grievance, welfare etc
* Monitor company schemes such as benefits, incentive, suggestion, recruitment, long service etc
* Monitoring and processing the officer/controller/photo of the month award
* Monitoring and issuing commendation
* Ensure employee satisfaction surveys are sent and evaluated
* Taking meeting notes and type up as and where required
* Liaise with line managers for staff appraisals, probation reviews and all required employee documentation etc.
* Compile and file company HR related statistics
* Email updates to employees regards RISQS, CSSCM etc.
* Create and monitor company waste and energy statistics
* Create and monitor manned guarding site performance statistics
* Ensure client satisfaction surveys are sent and evaluated
* Complete quarterly and annual HSE reports
* Complete annual ISO and RISQS management reviews
* Collate balanced scorecard statistics for each quarter
* Complete internal audits
* Review, update, and issue the internal and external audit plan
* Conduct document reviews- business continuity, NCC manual, policies, procedures, risk assessments, etc
* Participation in external audits
* Liaise with HSE consultant
* Update the Quality Management System (QMS)
* Issue QMS updates
* Ensure QMS documents are being used and completed correctly within the business
* Investigate and rectify any compliance failures
* Monitor accreditation expiries and platforms
* Monitor approves supplier list including making sure that supplier questionnaire and RISQS certs are still within expiry
* Act as Data Protection Officer and ensure compliance with GDPR
* Sentinel Coordinator
* Maintain and update all aspects of Sentinel portal ensuring compliance with sentinel scheme riles for sponsored employees at all times
* Managing register of sponsored employees and NWR e-learning
* Conduct checks on the fire alarm and emergency lighting system
* Conduct fire drills
* Booking of fire, emergency lighting, boiler and aircon services, fixed wire tests, and PAT testing
* Conduct monthly office safety inspections
* Fire marshal for Vision House
* Monitor vehicle checks
* Update company organisation chart
* Create and issue the monthly Black Diamond Security Newsletter
* Monitor company charity payments
* Cover for other staff members where required
* Any other sundry relevant duties as deemed necessary
What We Expect of You
* Capability to work in a team or independently.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Previous employee relations experience.
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
* Minimum of level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
* At least 5 years' experience in a HR Manager position or similar
Desirable:
* Knowledge and qualification in BS7858.
* Mental Health First Aider.
* Health & Safety Certificate
* Experience working in the security industry

* £38,000 to £40,000 per annum, pro rata (depending on experience)
* 3 days per week, 22.5 hours per week, between Monday and Friday.
