Location - Surrey (4 days office, 1 day WFH)
Our client is looking for a commercially minded and proactive Buyer/Senior Buyer to join their fast-paced Procurement team. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you'll be responsible for sourcing quality products globally, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring customer needs are met efficiently and ethically.
Identify and source products that align with customer specifications, ensuring optimal price, quality, and lead times.
Secure favorable terms from suppliers, including pricing, payment, and delivery conditions.
Logistics & Quality: Coordinate with logistics for timely delivery, oversee import/customs processes, and support quality control as needed.
Tender Management: Manage customer tenders and provide Sales & Marketing with accurate pricing, product data, and insights.
Order Processing: Maintain accurate order records in the processing system, ensuring full documentation compliance.
Continuously evaluate and engage suppliers to enhance cost efficiency, quality, and delivery performance.
Minimum 3 years' experience in a buying role, ideally within the food industry, with a proven track record in sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management.
Familiarity with international shipping, duties, and delivery processes is an advantage.
