Operations Manager - Fire and Security - Service Management, Account Management and Improvement (Surrey, South London, Kent, Sussex preferred) - GBP70000 + Bonus/Commission + Benefits
We are seeking a skilled Operations Manager with experience in fire alarm and electronic security systems, to oversee service delivery, account management, and continuous improvement within our fire and security division.
Location: Attend Surrey/Sussex office 2-3 days a week, with 2-3 days visiting customers and engineers across South England.
Benefits: circa GBP65,000 (GBP60-70k) per annum, plus bonus, 33 days holiday, progression opportunities, and a company car.
Role: Manage a team of 30+ staff including office coordinators and service engineers across South England.
Person Specification: Proactive, tenacious, professional, client-facing, excellent communicator, capable of supporting growth and service improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and motivate the fire and security team, fostering a positive work environment.
* Supervise technicians, installers, and support staff, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
* Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and develop team capabilities.
* Improve service delivery, monitor KPIs and SLAs, and implement improvements.
* Build strong customer relationships, address issues promptly, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
* Collaborate with sales and business development teams to identify growth opportunities.
Skills and Experience:
* Proven leadership in managing teams of engineers and support staff in fire and security services, ideally within South East England.
* Strong knowledge of fire and security systems (e.g., BAFE, FIA, NSI, SSAIB standards).
* Excellent communication, relationship-building, and managerial skills.
