The Role
As a Maintenance Person, you will perform general maintenance or repairs for equipment and facilities. You will also regularly inspect, log, and report items requiring specialist maintenance. Typical duties include minor repairs, painting, furniture building, changing light bulbs, unblocking toilets, and gardening. You will support health and safety within the service, ensuring hazards are managed.
The driving component involves ensuring the safe transport of the people supported and maintaining vehicles according to Shaftesbury’s policies.
Their residential home supports adults with physical and intellectual disabilities, offering 25 single-occupancy flats and two flats for two people. They deliver residential support and nursing care across England, promoting inclusion and wellbeing, enabling residents to enjoy a full and independent life.
