We are recruiting a Primary Teacher to work within a specialist alternative education setting in Gateshead. The role focuses on delivering engaging, nurturing lessons while supporting pupils’ emotional development and re-engagement with learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver creative, engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
* Support pupils with SEMH needs.
* Establish consistent routines and positive behaviour expectations.
* Monitor progress and celebrate pupil achievements.
* Work collaboratively with support staff and families.
Skills & Experience
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* Experience supporting SEMH or vulnerable pupils is desirable.
* Patient, nurturing and adaptable teaching style.
* Strong commitment to inclusive education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
