Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gosport for an Engineer/Technician at Vortec Marine Ltd. The role involves performing maintenance, refit, and repair work on high-end sailing and motor yachts, including system installations and fault diagnoses. The Engineer/Technician will be responsible for ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards, working collaboratively with a team of skilled professionals. The role also includes maintaining documentation for completed work and providing clients with professional technical support as needed.
Qualifications
* Hands-on experience in yacht maintenance, system installations, and repair work
* Strong understanding of marine engineering systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics
* Proficient in fault diagnosis and problem-solving within complex yacht systems
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
* Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients
* Relevant marine engineering or technical qualification is required; marine-specific certifications are essential
* Previous experience with prestige yachts is beneficial
