Job Role: Mechanical Design Engineer (various grades required) Location: Brighton (Flexible working opportunities so other locations considered) Salary: £40,000-£70,000 Benefits Our client is looking to grow their established Water team by hiring Mechanical Engineers ranging from Intermediate to Principal grade. The successful candidates will be delivering innovative and sustainable design solutions for water and wastewater projects, particularly within the context of water recycling plants and other advanced water treatment facilities. About the Role: As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll work closely with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team to deliver cutting-edge solutions, including: • Developing outline designs for water recycling plants and other advanced facilities. • Providing expert guidance on design calculations and specifications. • Driving innovation to evaluate and trial new technologies and products. • Ensuring designs are sustainable, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible. • Collaborating with supply chains to improve technical standards and efficiency. • Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to their professional development. • Delivering projects that exceed budget expectations with cost-effective solutions. About you: • MSc/MEng in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with the IET or equivalent institution. • Full driving license (required for site visits). • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. • The ability to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement. • Experience with advanced water treatment and recycling technologies would be a plus.
