Job Purpose
To learn and develop the technical capabilities to achieve an NVQ level 3 or above in a multi‑skilled engineering maintenance discipline, developing skills and capability to become a controls and instrumentation technician within the Automation department.
Key Responsibilities
* 1- Undertake a programme of training required to carry out planned and reactive maintenance of production control systems in accordance with company procedures and industry best practice, to maintain performance and compliance whilst minimising production downtime.
* 2- Develop the capability to ensure all maintenance work carried out is correctly documented and recorded in accordance with company procedures to comply with regulatory requirements.
* 3- Develop the capability to diagnose and repair equipment that is not functioning correctly. The ability to understand complex information and read engineering drawings is essential.
* 4- Understand the Health and Safety and Quality requirements required for performing maintenance tasks and always apply these working practices.
* 5- Complete the training requirements of the apprenticeship. Provide documented evidence of training completion for review by the Engineering team leader and external educational bodies.
Qualifications
* 4 GCSEs at Grade C or equivalent
* BTEQ or A level qualification(s)

* Working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
