We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing critical support to teachers in fostering the development and education of young people. The successful candidate will assist with planning, preparing, and delivering work programs for individuals and groups, monitor and evaluate student progress, and provide tailored interventions to meet pupils' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Support teachers in delivering the curriculum and supervising classes when required.

Plan, organise, and evaluate activities and interventions.

Provide specialised support for students' personal care, independence, and inclusion.

Maintain accurate records, report progress, and adhere to safeguarding policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above (including English and Maths) or equivalent.

Relevant certifications (e.g., first aid, behaviour management) are advantageous.

Proficiency in IT tools and excellent communication skills.

Ability to guide less experienced colleagues and work collaboratively in a team.

Prior experience in an educational or similar environment.

This post will be exempt from the provisions of Section 4 (2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Therefore, applicants are not entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are ‘spent’ under the provision of the Act, and, in the event of the employment being taken up; any failure to disclose such convictions will result in dismissal or disciplinary action. The fact that a pending charge, conviction, bind-over or caution has been recorded against you will not necessarily debar you from consideration for this appointment.
