Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Planner to join our team in Norfolk, United Kingdom. As a Project Planner, you will play a crucial role within the team in ensuring the successful execution of our engineering projects in the energy sector by developing, implementing, and monitoring project schedules / plans.


Responsibilities

* Utilise planning software (preferably Primavera P6) to track and monitor project progress, as well as support delivery forecasting/look-aheads.
* Utilise planning software (preferably Primavera P6) to develop and support change / impact programmes with the wider delivery teams.
* Develop comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
* Analyse the project requirements and create detailed work breakdown structures.
* Identify potential programme risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify all project requirements and agree timescales.
* Conduct resource forecasting and optimisation to improve project efficiency.
* Assist in the development of project budgets and cost estimates, through programme utilisation.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for planning processes.


Qualifications

* Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering industry or related field
* Strong knowledge of NEC form of contract essential
* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6)
* Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
* Ability to develop and manage complex project schedules
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Experience in construction or infrastructure projects
* Knowledge of construction methodologies and techniques
* Understanding of project scheduling and resource allocation principles
* Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
* Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
