Overview
We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and nurturing Childcare Assistant to support our small, high quality childminding setting in Tower Hamlets. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about early years education who enjoys working in a warm, home-based environment.
You will work alongside an experienced childminder to provide a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment for children aged 0–5 years old.
Responsibilities
· Supporting daily care routines such as feeding, hygiene, sleep routines.
· Assisting with planning and delivering EYFS-aligned activities
· Promoting children's learning, development and wellbeing
· Observing and recording children's progress
· Maintaining a clean, safe and organised environment
· Supporting outings and local trips
· Ensuring safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times
Requirements
Essential:
· Experience working with children (nursery, school, nannying, or childminding)
· Understanding of the EYFS framework
· Clear enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
· Paediatric First Aid (or willing to train)
· Good communication skills
· Right to work in the UK
Desirable:
· Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification
· Safeguarding training
· SEN experience
