Staff Nurse – Pre‑Assessment (Bank / Part Time) – Exeter Hospital – up to £26.50 per hour, depending on experience.
As a Pre‑Assessment Staff Nurse at Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital, you will be an essential member of a close‑knit, matron‑led team delivering consultant‑led patient care. Your role is the first point of contact for patients scheduled for surgery, ensuring accurate assessment and support before admission.
Job Responsibilities
* Deliver matron‑led care as part of a consultant‑led service.
* Act as the first point of contact and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to perform accurate pre‑operative assessments.
* Apply a broad knowledge base and assessment skills to safeguard patient care.
* Fully understand and support the needs of each patient and their family.
* Offer comfort and reassurance, maintaining the highest standards of care.
* Build experience with new practices, equipment and facilities.
* Co‑operate with practitioners in other areas to ensure continuity of patient care.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or equivalent governing body.
* Post‑registration experience preferred; a passion for exceptional patient care.
Experience
* Experience working in a hospital setting and familiarity with pre‑assessment procedures.
