We are recruiting 3 x PRS Lettings Officers to support the new in-house Private Rented Sector Lettings Service to attract and work with landlords in providing accommodation for clients. The aim is to work with clients to ensure they can created and sustain tenancies and reduce homelessness. You will work with landlords to build up strong relationships and secure properties to increase provision of affordable PRS housing, including to promote and manage landlord incentives to increase the size of the PRS Service. The role will help tenants set-up and sustain tenancies and whilst providing a mediation service to landlords to help reduce the number of households threatened with eviction. The service aims to increase the supply of affordable private rental accommodation and work with landlords to help prevent homelessness and ensure the right support is offered at the right time. The pilot service has initial funding until December 2025. We are recruiting for a number of staff to work in the newly created team to be based in The Portal, Ellesmere Port. Work location will be flexible involving office-based, working from home, working at other council offices, and visiting landlords and tenants across the district. There is a team of 6 posts which form the pilot service: Team leader, Lettings officers (x3), Support officer and Accommodation officer.
