Litigation Solicitor - Bournemouth
We're looking for a motivated and ambitious Newly Qualified Solicitor (NQ) to join our Litigation & Recoveries team. This is a fantastic opportunity to launch your post-qualification career in a supportive environment, gaining hands-on experience in asset and debt recovery work, while developing your skills as a trusted advisor to clients.
About the Role
As a Newly Qualified Solicitor, you'll work closely with senior colleagues to advise clients on asset and debt recovery matters and assist in conducting litigation. You'll manage an initial caseload under supervision, draft legal documentation, and provide clear, practical advice to clients. This role offers excellent training and mentoring, with scope to quickly take on more responsibility as you grow in confidence.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
* Managing a caseload of litigation matters, with support from senior solicitors.
* Advising clients in writing, by email, and in meetings.
* Assisting with drafting documents and correspondence.
* Conducting legal research and developing creative, client-focused solutions.
* Ensuring compliance with firm-wide and regulatory requirements (including AML, billing, and time recording).
* Supporting team members and contributing to collaborative working practices.
* Taking part in business development and networking opportunities to build client relationships.
* Keeping up to date with legal developments and best practice.
What We're Looking For:
* Ideally educated to degree level, though relevant experience will also be considered.
* Previous experience in a professional services or law firm environment (advantageous but not essential).
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence in learning new IT systems.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and discreet approach.
* A process-driven, analytical mindset and a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
* The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
If you're a newly qualified solicitor eager to develop your career in asset and debt recovery, we'd love to hear from you.
