Job Description: Process Engineering Manager
We are a fast-paced, dynamic, and commercially successful machining company seeking a Process Engineering Manager with machining experience.
Our company is fully IATF 16949 accredited, serving the automotive, off-highway, heavy-truck, rail, and yellow goods markets.
We are looking for someone who understands process control and can develop process control charts and documentation to demonstrate process capability.
Our company has experienced steady growth through engineering excellence and exceptional customer service. We seek a candidate with the ambition to grow into an Engineering Manager and then a Director, following existing retirement plans.
As one of the largest subcontract machining companies in the UK, our success has been driven by the skill and hard work of our team members. We are now planning for succession and need someone whose skills and values align with ours.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prove out and document existing operations to close the approvals loop following IATF accreditation.
2. Absorb and enhance the existing New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
3. Manage all NPI activities, tooling, and team management.
4. Work closely with Quality and Quality Systems managers to ensure correct product introduction, including PPAP and control plans, meeting customer demands and IATF standards.
5. Develop and implement process control charts and documentation to demonstrate process capability.
6. Over time, take responsibility for all NPI, tooling, and team management with the goal of progressing to Engineering Director, potentially with equity involvement.
7. Understand machining processes and the importance of process capability.

Additional Information
The role offers a salary likely in the range of £45,000 to £50,000, with flexibility for highly capable candidates, including less experienced leaders or those seeking to run their own team. Salary is not a barrier to attracting the best candidate.
