Join NI Precision as a CAD/CAM Programmer (Turning) - Lisburn, Northern Ireland Full-time About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a CAD/CAM Programmer (Turning) to join our team delivering design, engineering and manufacturing solutions for a wide range of customers. The role of the Programmer, reporting to the programming manager, will be responsible for programming CNC turning machines and turning-mill machines to efficiently deliver high-precision components. Roles and responsibilities The role holder will Be responsible for programming CNC lathes, including twin spindle/twin turret configurations. Have the ability to deliver CNC programmes and set up sheets for 'machined complete parts' where possible in a cost-efficient manner. Work with a wide variety of materials including aluminium, steel, stainless steel, plastics, nylon, copper and brass. Use their CAD skills to draw suitable fixtures for one-off solutions and/or production runs. Work closely with the shop floor team to assist in implementing changes that help streamline the machining process. Assist in NI Precision's training program by training apprentice programmers when required. Skills required The role holder will Possess a good understanding of complex CNC lathe programming Possess an innovative approach to problem-solving. Have a keen eye for detail. Possess a continuous improvement mindset to produce the best possible solution for production parts. Approach all work in a way that ensures the best quality output. Be an effective and motivated team player, able to work both closely with others and in a self-guided capacity. Have good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills, including the ability to read engineering drawings and create detailed set-up documentation. Have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
