Job Overview
We are looking for a Care Assistant who will play a vital role in our close‑knit care team, ensuring residents receive exceptional care and support. The role involves promoting independence, maintaining overall health and happiness, and upholding our commitment to dignity and quality of life for each resident.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily routines, from getting dressed to staying active, encouraging positive choices and independence.
* Follow each resident’s personalised care plan, providing hands‑on help and thoughtful attention to individual needs.
* Monitor residents’ health and communicate any concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager; support contact with relatives or health professionals.
* Uphold dignity and respect for every resident, ensuring they feel valued in every interaction.
* Encourage social interactions among residents and staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
* Collaborate with housekeepers to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces and respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
* Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking to meet their nutritional needs.
* Bring joy and positivity to residents’ everyday lives, making a difference through genuine care.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is preferred.
* At least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant is ideal, though a passion for care and transferable skills are also valued.
* Demonstrated interest in caring for the elderly and commitment to delivering excellent service.
* Strong integrity, respect, and a sense of teamwork in all duties.
