Overview
We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Care Assistant. This role is a maternity cover with two positions available: 1x 33 hours and 1x 44 hours per week.
Base pay range and package details are provided by Avery Healthcare. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
* Assist residents in all personal hygiene care, ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect at all times.
* Recognise and understand clinical risk areas (weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infection) and escalate identified risks in a timely manner.
* Act courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
* Practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
About You

* Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards the residents and other people in the home.
* Be an efficient worker who can carry out reasonable instructions from other team members.
* Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
