Job Description
Our PMO Scotland team is expanding its Controls community. We seek passionate, ambitious candidates across all professional levels who will support early careers, grow into leadership roles, and foster our values, especially Bringing out the best in Everyone.
With regional growth including new Major Programmes, Projects, and Clients, we are looking for flexible Planning, Scheduling, Performance Reporting, and Risk Management professionals to deliver services across Scotland. Travel within Scotland may be required depending on the project, which can be discussed during recruitment. Opportunities span sectors such as Power, Water, Rail, Defence, Nuclear, Local Authority, and Shipyards.
Responsibilities
1. Work as part of our Project Controls team on high-profile infrastructure projects, providing performance reporting and analysis support, either as part of a large team or as the primary client contact.
2. Develop work breakdown structures and performance baselines with cost and planning engineers.
3. Establish progress and cost monitoring methods.
4. Produce project control reports and provide performance analysis and recommendations.
5. Experience in a project controls environment within sectors like Energy, Defence, Rail, Airports, Highways, Water/Utilities is required.
6. Experience in Programme Controls Management, Earned Value (EVM), Change & Risk Management, Planning, or PMO is preferred.
Qualifications
* Degree in a relevant discipline with some experience in project control.
* Experience managing projects, programmes, or portfolios.
* Proficiency with Primavera P6, Power BI, Microsoft Office.
* Autonomous and team-oriented work approach.
* Strong time management, communication, and technical skills.
* Knowledge of scheduling principles and schedule construction.
* Experience with schedule quality assurance tools like Primavera Schedlog, Acumen Fuse, or DCMA 14 Point Checklist.
* Ability to monitor and control schedules, baseline management, and performance measurement.
* Ownership of schedule management culture.
