Job Description
Our client is looking for a skilled Full Stack Adobe Commerce Cloud / Magento Developer to lead the technical delivery of a large-scale ecommerce platform for a key client. The role involves managing end-to-end development, from planning and implementation to optimisation and integration with wider business systems. You'll collaborate with both internal and client-side teams - including design, UX, and project management - to deliver high-performing, user-focused solutions. This is a senior, client-facing position ideal for someone with deep Adobe Commerce expertise, strong full stack development skills, and the ability to guide projects and mentor others within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
3. Lead the technical delivery of a high-performance Adobe Commerce Cloud platform.
4. Build, maintain, and optimise site features to support business objectives and enhance user experience.
5. Translate UX and design concepts into robust, scalable, and high-quality implementations.
6. Serve as the primary technical contact for the client, contributing to planning sessions and solution design.
7. Manage project developers, including task scoping, code review, and delivery oversight.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deploy new functionality.
9. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices.
10. Oversee integrations with third-party systems (e.g. ERPs, CRMs, payment gateways).
11. Ensure platform stability and performance through proactive monitoring and continuous improvement.
12. Mentor and support junior developers, contributing to shared best practices.
The Successful Applicant
13. Strong full stack development expertise (PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3).
14. Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
15. Proven experience with Adobe Commerce Cloud and Magento 2 (custom modules, theming, architecture).
16. Hands-on experience with Adobe Commerce hosting environments and deployment workflows.
17. Expertise in API development and integration (REST, GraphQL).
18. Experience with complex data integrations between ecommerce platforms and business systems.
19. Proficiency with modern development tools (GitHub, Composer).
20. Familiarity with containerisation and DevOps tools (Docker, Valet).
21. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
22. A proactive, solution-focused mindset and strong attention to detail.
23. Comfortable working directly with clients in a fast-paced agency or similar environment.
