Project Quantity Surveyor Location: Cambridge Salary: Up to £62,000 Competitive Package Employer: Leading UK Property Services Provider Project: Sanctuary Council – Air Source Heat Pumps & Solar PV Programme About the Role A leading UK property services company is seeking a highly skilled Project Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of an exciting energy-efficiency project for Sanctuary Council in Cambridge. You will play a key commercial role across a portfolio focused on the installation of air source heat pumps, solar panels (PV), and associated retrofit works. Key Responsibilities * Manage all commercial aspects of the project from procurement through to final account. * Prepare valuations, forecasts, cost plans, bills of quantities, and tender documentation. * Ensure accurate cost control, financial reporting, and profitability management. * Work closely with operational teams to support the successful delivery of renewable and retrofit works. * Assess subcontractor applications, variations, and manage contractual obligations. * Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring compliance with commercial and contractual frameworks. * Provide commercial insight to drive value, efficiency, and continuous improvement. About You * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, property services, or retrofit/renewable projects. * Strong commercial acumen with excellent attention to detail. * Experience working on social housing or energy-efficiency schemes is highly advantageous. * Strong understanding of contracts, cost management, and financial reporting. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills. * Degree-qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
