A leading global player in Fin-Tech is looking for a Head of Engineering to lead technology delivery across one of their most important divisions. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a business-critical engineering function within a complex, high-scale environment. The Opportunity: As Head of Engineering, you’ll guide multiple cross-functional teams in building and maintaining modern trading and data platforms. Reporting directly to the division’s technology leadership, you’ll be responsible for aligning delivery with strategic objectives, evolving technical direction, and shaping a high-performance engineering culture. Your Impact: Lead and support several agile development teams, driving delivery across a diverse portfolio Set and uphold engineering best practices, from architecture and CI/CD to testing and secure development Collaborate closely with product, operations, and architecture to translate business goals into scalable, high-quality software Mentor technical leads and senior engineers, embedding a culture of learning, ownership, and continuous improvement Support the evolution of legacy systems toward cloud-native, event-driven solutions using modern frameworks Partner with stakeholders to drive prioritisation, roadmaps, and investment in technical initiatives Actively engage in post-deployment stability, incident management, and platform reliability Tech Environment: .NET, Java, React, AWS, SQL, microservices, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), DevOps tooling (GitLab, TeamCity, Octopus), event-driven architecture, REST APIs, testing frameworks (xUnit, Jest, Cypress). About You: Proven experience leading multiple software teams or a department in a fast-paced environment Strong full-stack technical foundation with current or past hands-on development experience Excellent communicator and collaborator, with the ability to influence across engineering, product, and business Adept at balancing legacy system constraints with modernisation goals Comfortable in both strategy and delivery Why Join?
